At wits end with my Dolphin E30

The shop replaced the gears today and it's now fully working. The only issue I have left is I'm not able to get the power supply to go back into automation mode. The two buttons to the right of the big power button don't function or change settings. I've tried holding down various buttons for...

At wits end with my Dolphin E30

It's less than 2 years old. I just did this test and heard the three different speeds. I hear a grinding ticking noise in addition. The tracks don't move at all, they don't go forward or backwards.

At wits end with my Dolphin E30

Yes but it's not accessible unless I'm in the pool as it's placed under the waterfall feature. I replaced a broken Hayward cleaner with the E30. I was really happy with the E30 until it broke.

At wits end with my Dolphin E30

I have a Dolphin E30 that's died on me under warranty. What's going on is it turns on, goes backwards for five seconds, then turns off. I bought it from Margaret at Marina Pool and supply. She sent some YouTube videos that haven't been helpful. She told me I had to deal with my local pool...

In ground spa or bad idea

I've had both a pool with an in ground spa as a renter and a pool + stand alone spa (a bullfrog A8) as a owner. I prefer the stand alone spa. Here's the pros and cons of both: Stand alone pros: Have the spa where I want it. I use it in winter. It's right next to my back door and steps away...

High daily chlorine loss and CYA disappeared

Thanks everyone! I'll use the CYA result of 40. I wasn't aware that the reaction needs to be acidic. I wasn't aware that the tolerance of the test is +- 15ppm. I'm relieved to hear that the FC loss is considered normal for our UV conditions! I'm still amazed that I went from 50 to 30 CYA before...

High daily chlorine loss and CYA disappeared

Current test kit: TF-Pro Salt Pool history: 11,000 gallon plaster pool, first time pool owner. Using a solar cover. Originally had a pool guy, told him in writing that we were going to run it hot at 84 degrees through winter. He required us to provide chemicals - fair for heavy use during...

IC60 closer than 3ft to heater

My guess is chemically a salt water generator generates chlorine gas and hydrogen gas. There can be a risk of combustion of the hydrogen gas if the SWG is too close to the heater.

    IC40 vs IC60 for 11,000 gallon pool

Not currently, as I wrote in the post I'm considering upgrading to it. Right now I have a simple intermatic timer. I'm willing to consider other automation solutions as well. I'd also would like to get a variable speed pump, and two LED pool lights that can be controlled by automation and set to...

    IC40 vs IC60 for 11,000 gallon pool

Hi! I'm upgrading my pool to have a salt water generator along with a full automation setup. I'd like to use the Pentair Intellicenter to control two LED lights, a waterfall feature, my pool's heater, and so on. I'm also wanting to put in a variable speed pump. I live in Las Vegas and use my...
