    Replacing Leaking/Broken Return

I do have a second rubber gasket (and a third cork gasket). I trimmed the liner/patch But the gasket still bunches I'm guessing the liner needs to be almost precisely the same size as the hole for the return and not go through the hole at all. Should I add any silicone/caulk at all?

    Replacing Leaking/Broken Return

Last Year: NOOB Opened pool at new house for the first time. Broken AquaLight return was leaking. Waited 'til this year to fix. Now: 1) The liner tore slightly around the return hole, so I patched it. 2) I cross cut the liner where the return hole is--as opposed to trying to cut a...

No need for a bucket test...it's a leak (and pump issue)

it's a busted Aqua light - I figured just pull it all together - but will look at the gaskets first...I think I saw a thread that described using some patches as gaskets (or do they sell return gaskets by themselves?

No need for a bucket test...it's a leak (and pump issue)

OK - pump finally came on again this evening (after humming every time I tried it throughout the day), at this point I am not asking any questions  however after not leaking all day (with the pump off) the water is escaping from the same spot (with it on) I have a theory I used a...

No need for a bucket test...it's a leak (and pump issue)

Re: No need for a bucket test...it's a leak Will do - I will be focusing 5 feet in each direction and the height of the pool, then the floor and cove.

Re: No need for a bucket test...it's a leak prelim checks led to nothing - couldn't feel or see anything notable Is it safe to assume I am looking in the right place if I'm looking (inside wall) within 5 feet in either direction of where it's presenting outside? I will do a more complete...

No need for a bucket test...it's a leak (and pump issue)

Have had a small leak (see below) that was progressively getting worse. Lost 1.5 to 2 inches of water overnight and I immediately shut down the pump (not running dry and still working) and turned on the hose. (EDIT: there is no apparent leakage --at the moment-- without the water circulating...
