Waiting on my test kit...what now?

I was where you are a month ago. Taylor K-2006 is the right test kit. It's what I use and I love it. Keep pump running 24/7 and put in 1 jug of bleach a day until your test kit arrives. 13500 gal. 24' round vinyl pool, Hayward Sand filter, Taylor 2006 test kit

    Chlorine overnight

I have the same thought about adding chlorine at night so the sun doesn't eat it up, but I'm also very NEW to this TFP method. I just finished my first successful SLAM and I'm trying to figure out the best routine. I'm afraid my chlorine level will drop too low and I will have a swamp again...

    Finished Slam, Now What?

Is it best to run my filter at night or during the day? I would assume adding chlorine at night is best because it will stay in the water all night without sunlight? 13500 gal. 24' round vinyl pool, Hayward Sand filter, Taylor 2006 test kit

    Finished Slam, Now What?

Started with a swamp and slamming has worked. My pool is now clean and passed all three criteria for finishing the slam process. What do I do now? I know I need to test and add chlorine everyday. What should my daily routine be? Should I do the testing and additions in the morning or evening...

    New and looking for advice

While waiting for this SLAM to take its course, I have question about my ugly deck. It's OLD (not sure how old we've lived here for almost three years) and cracking. We replace boards here and there when needed. Structurally it's fine but cosmetically it's ugly. We are thinking of painting it...

    Pool Math........The App

I found an issue with the app. While trying to delete multiple logs entries. The app will only allow you to delete one log. Then it will not allow you to slide over and view the delete button. I closed the app then reopened it to delete one log entry at a time then have to close the app again...

    New and looking for advice

Thank you for your help. I was thinking of doing a partial drain to lower the CYA. In the long run it will save me $$ by not needing as much bleach. No SWG and I have stopped using "shock" and pucks since I found this forum. I've already learned so much. Hoping to have a nice easy to maintain...

    New and looking for advice

New here and looking for advice. Just received Taylor 2006 test kit and trying to learn how to use it. Here are the numbers I got from my first attempt of using the test kit. Pool had algae when I opened it. Without a proper test kit (using test strips) I was keeping chlorine level very high...
