So I set my filter to run for 6 hours from 7am till 1pm each day, the chlorinator set to 40%, last 3 nights in a row FC came up at 5.5 each time. However, my CYA still showing around 50 area, below it really if the dot is to disappear completely. Should I even bother to bring it up with my FC...

My well water shows TA of 100, but its weird, at 10 drops it turned slightly red then went to blue, took 12 drops to completely turn red. How can there be high level of chlorine in well water? I just have a inline filter so no chloring added. The CH came in around 140, but its strange, even...

I want to put in additional couple of inches of water and will be adding from well water, do you guys think I should leave the CH at 250 for now and not add any more considering my well water might be calcium rich or for 2 inches it should not make much difference?

Guys, How important is it to test for metals in the water? is it something only done if you are seeing problems or should you test no matter what at certain intervlals ? I see the previous owner did leave some bottles of remedies for problems but not sure if actually every used this stuff or...
