I have been doing an algicide with copper for the last year. I did a vitamin C stain remover and the copper levels shot up to over 1600+. Before the stain treatment the copper levels were within range all the time.

I got a pool pro coming soon to do an inspection but I wanted to ask the group their thoughts on the pinkish build up material over the plaster. (zoom in) When I pour water on the non pink part, it then turns green. Do I have a build up of heavy metals? Thanks in advance.

A friend wants to offer a free 48 sq. Hayward version of the 60 sq. Would this be okay to use? I suspect I have to make sure the pump is not too close to the filter in order to minimize the water pressure. Thanks in advance.
