I was using fairly soft pumice and it did work although it required some elbow grease and the pumice doesn't last long as it is soft. Thanks for the reply!

thanks jblizzle...any idea about the white line/film at prev. water level? Pumice will take it off but acid will not, no bubbling after applying and very little effect.

Since the original 80% drain 3 weeks ago, I have only added liquid bleach or liquid chlorine and some acid. I have not used any of the pucks. I am trying to figure out what I may have done and prevent it from happening again. Thanks so much for your help!
