    Multiport Valve Leak?

I've been losing a lot of water recently. I replaced the four year old mulitport valve & the base gasket & was still losing water. I set a bucket on the steps, filled it to the same level as the pool, set it on the steps & let the pool run. Sure enough, the bucket water level was about an inch...

    Bottom Drain law? (2016)

When we had our liner installed four years ago, I was told the same thing. Our pump has an automatic shutoff if it detects any sort of blockage on the drain, or skimmer. Because of this, I was able to get out of them "Having to do it."

    How close to dig

Also, I should add that when we replaced the liner four years ago, the guy said something like "Be Glad it's not wood." So, I guess it's steel walls.

    How close to dig

I'm building a deck around our pool & need to know if I'm going to have any issues digging around 3' away from the pool. I've dug out 13" around the area & need to dig another 2 feet deep for the post. It might sound silly, but this being a vinyl liner pool, will the weight of the water be an...

Tree Fell in the Pool :-(

Okay, I finally got around to editing the picture to fit. As expected, It's not holding Chlorine. My good test kit was lost somewhere under the tree that fell, so today I'm going to get a new kit. I used some test strips this morning after adding a ton of chlorine last night & it's hardly...

Jets blowing dirty water when Vacuuming

Taken from another Forum: One is a suction port that leads from the skimmer to the pump. The second port is sometimes plumbed as an equalizer line (you'd notice a suction inlet nearby on the pool wall) but more often as the feed from the main drain. The flap is probably the trimmer plate for a...

Tree Fell in the Pool :-(

The water is pretty bad. There's a ton of sediment & leaves on the bottom, along with some large limbs. I spent nearly all day Saturday getting the rest of the tree out of the pool & skimmed the top & some of the bottom. Everything went pretty good, just very time consuming because every single...

Jets blowing dirty water when Vacuuming

That's your valve that normally sits to the side, or on top of the filter. If you end up needing to replace your sand, there's no reason to fix the valve until the sand is changed.

Jets blowing dirty water when Vacuuming

You really shouldn't have too much mess going back in the pool. When was the last time you changed your sand? - That is assuming your filter is a sand filter...

Jets blowing dirty water when Vacuuming

When I vacuum, I always move the filter valve to waste. It bypasses the filter completely. Just be sure to watch your water level while doing this. It can get low failry quick. Your second issue, I'm not totally sure what it is you're talking about. My pool is pretty basic with it being over 40...

Tree Fell in the Pool :-(

Doesn't look like it, Plus it's still holding water. I actually started removing the tree last night myself. I figured I could trust my self more than anyone else to be easy on it. I've just been cutting small sections at a time & it's working out pretty good. I'm wanting to know the cost...
