    Starting my 3rd Pool

It isn't installed yet, so i don't have any pictures. It measures 8.5' by 14' and is 4' deep everywhere. It is the smallest IG pool I could find. Just a enough to take a dip in.

    Starting my 3rd Pool

Thanks Matt for your suggestion. I have decided to go with the IC 20 as my SWG. It should have an easy time with my small pool. I am also going to use the Pentair Intelliflo VS pump which I has the ability to schedule On/Off times. I have read both manuals for the SWG and pump and they don't...

    Starting my 3rd Pool

Thanks guys! I found a Pentair IC15 while looking at the IC20. It is for an even smaller pool. Still much bigger than my "puddle". It might make more sense if you know my last pool was 52'X30', kidney shaped pool which I took care of for 20 years. I just what something easy and to dip in with...

    Starting my 3rd Pool

Hello All, I am starting the process of having my 3rd pool installed and could use some help. I am having a small FG, in ground pool installed here in SW Florida. The pool is only 2100 gals and I would like to use a SWG for the chorine production. I have no idea where I begin with determining...

    Honey Bees

Gooserider, it is sad, but the honey bees seem to be unable not to drink the pool water and they are dying in increasing numbers. I am finding them on the deck, as well as in the pool. At least a couple dozen yesterday. I put out a dish of rain water but they seem programed to go to a certain...

    Honey Bees

Thanks for the great information. This is not a new pool. We have had it for 17 years. It was renovated last fall and we changed to a saltwater and BBB method. We never had honey bees before this year. At first, I though it was because we had a very heavy pollen spring here. There was visible...

    Honey Bees

This is my first year with a Saltwater pool using the BBB method. I couldn't be happier with the results so far. I have notice that the honey bees are visiting the pool. They fly over and land on the tile right at the edge of the water. I have found at least a dozen dead ones in the pool. Has...

Diving board help needed for this new pool owner!

Please be aware that insurance companies in this state will not insure homes with diving boards installed. I ran into this with our pool and had to remove the board before they would insure our house. You might want to check with your home owners insurance company.

Jandy RS four conductor control wire...what is it?

Yes, you can use that. They used CAT 5 (Ethernet) cable for mine. It is 4 conductor, 24awg cable. Nothing fancy. If it is exposed outside it should be in conduit to protect it from the elements.

Pentair IntelliBrite Lights with AquaLink RS

Does anyone have any experience with getting the lights to work properly with this controller? I can get the lights to work, but trying to change or select different lighting is difficult as best. The RS unit doesn't give you the option of turning them on and off to change the colors. You have...

When do those who live in the northeast open their pools?

Here in Southeastern MA I have generally opened on Memorial Day. This year I am already working "under the cover" getting the water balanced. We renovated our pool in the fall, so I have more work to do this year. I will have the cover off and ready to start heating it up by the first of May...

Water Testing Instructions on One Page

This is great information! Thanks! I was looking around the site today for some additional information which it seems I need all of the time. Is there a similar post or document that explains the preferred method to administer the chemicals to the pool? Most of the pails of chemicals I have...

    AquaLink RS8 and Heater Control

Well, I finally got some warm weather for a day and I installed the control circuit in the AquaLink. The ELK-960 Delay timer works well. The only feature it has, which I didn't need, is a test cycle. When you first power it up, it will activate the JVA (Heater position), time out and then go...

    AquaLink RS8 and Heater Control

I have received all of my parts. As soon as it warms up here, so I can work on it, I will install it. 21 degrees is to cold to stand outside and do the install for me. :grrrr:
