New pool construction pump and filter size

No Solar heater, our subdivision doesn't allow them. I am considering a waterfall down the road but was planning on a separate pump for it just to keep thing simple...?

New pool construction pump and filter size

If I understand correctly, I can plumb (T) the two MD together and space them 8' apart to comply.

New pool construction pump and filter size

Great! Got it! Thank you! BTW what's the difference between the "auto" skimmer and a regular skimmer, other than $50?

New pool construction pump and filter size

Thanks Bama Rambler! I so appreciate an experts opinion. Yes you are right, I AM only doing this once and PVC is cheap! I understand plumbing the MD and skimmers but when you say to run each return from the pad, would you put a valve on each one? I'm visualizing a "3 inch manifold" off...

New pool construction pump and filter size

Thanks to both of you. I was torn between the 2HP and the 1.5HP How far from the pool is the equipment pad going to be? 20' away Except for the MD's are you running separate lines all the way back to the equip pad? My plan is to tie each Skimmer to a MD, then run a separate...

    DIY plastering

I'm certain I'm missing something but I don't know what it is. What exactly is the "hard" part of plastering? Is it the continuous mixing of the plaster, finding the right ingredients for the plaster, or just the extensive labor in applying it? Everyone says you can't do it yourself but no...

New pool construction, 2 pumps or 1?

I am about to start construction on an in-ground concrete pool. I have calculated it to be about 60,000 gallons. I'm trying to decide if I should put in one large pump or two smaller ones. Pump cost and operating cost is only a little higher for the two pumps and I get the security of some...
