Interesting your pool must be much larger. I can go from 82 to 90 in around an hour or two with 85 degree ambient air. That's with a 121k btu heater and about a 7500 gallon pool

Last question and thanks for the help so far guys. My heater is an electric pool heat pump. Is there a sweet spot rpm for efficiency and also effectiveness of getting the pool warm. Some articles say run pump at lowest rpm possible that heater can handle as it's cheaper and the water flowing...

Well that's no fun :(. Pool is 26ft long by 11 feet wide. Diamondbrite plaster. Pool is very shallow to begin with, I could always leave room on both side for stair entry and make the sun shade maybe 6 ft. then again that way would probably look silly.

Does anyone have any experience in regards to around how much it costs to convert stairs to a sun deck in a rectangular inground pool that's about 11 ft wide?

Liquid Chlorine and always when the pump is running. What can I skip if I start routinely running the heater? If I decide to routinely run the heater I'll be running the pump at 2200rpm so there is enough flow.

I dont have a SWCG or a cleaner. When the pool guy comes to vacuum once a week he can just turn the rpms up. Generally speaking, would 1500 rpm for 8 hours be enough?

Thanks you're right I didnt realize the quick clean could be programmed more than 3 hours. That should work. Anyone have any ideas in general at what speed and how long I should run the pump for daily? Let's assume the heater flow rate doesnt matter and I'll turn on quick clean if I want to...
