    New Pool first fill, leak!

I have an Intex and every year when I put it up, one of the seems leaks. Once the pool is full, I put on a snorkel and goggles and just run my finger along all of the seems and press them down. The water pressure alone always stops my leak. I have no idea where the leak is, but it appears to be...

    New House, New AGP set-up

Thanks Charlie. For the patio blocks, should I just use 1' X 1' cement pavers? Is there an easy way to dig and install these? It sounds like a pain in the rear to dig all of these correctly. Last year I think the pool legs sat on the foam, so should I cut the foam to accommodate these? Anybody...

    New House, New AGP set-up

Hi folks, First off, thanks for being the best group of pool enthusiasts around. So much knowledge in these forums that help out so much. Ok, so we finally bought a house and I'm ready to install a 15' Intex metal frame pool. We've had this pool for three years now, and it's still working...

    UGH! I'm THAT guy. PICS!!!

We found the lowest point and dug the high side down to that point. I appreciate you double checking though. Next year, I will have my site professionally leveled and use sand. Definitely a learning curve involved here!

    UGH! I'm THAT guy. PICS!!!

After we got everything level, we put down the foam board. This was a good idea since we didn't use sand (we should have) because it minimizes the imperfections. We taped the boards together and put the pool on top. It was 2:30 PM by this point so we turned the hose on to see how well we did...

    UGH! I'm THAT guy. PICS!!!

Ok, so we decided to move the pool across the yard to where the shed was, and put the shed where the old pool was. I knew it would suck to do, but I didn't want my kids injured. I drained the pool (harder than I thought) and started to dig the new site. We started at 6:00 AM because I had to be...

So you want to add borates to your pool--Why and How

Ok, here are some before and after pictures my pool. The process went smoothly and I am very satisfied! The before shot shows clear water (48'' deep), but no sparkle or silkiness. You can definitely tell the added effect when the sun hits the pool!

Kissing my screen, happy that i found this site

Welcome, Kat! FWIW, I have an Intex 15' X 48'' with about 5,000 gallons in it. I followed pool school to a T and have had no problems yet.I still have the stock 1,000 gph pump and it works fine. I clean the filter about once a week and its not bad at all. That being said, the Intex sand...
