I resolved it by putting on the old hose. So it seems that the leak is when I put on the new hose. Wonder how I fix that?

Above ground 24ft pool. Pentair sand filter. I recently replaced the pump to filter hose and the pump lid has a slow leak when turned off. I put the old hose back on (replaced bc starting to show wear…see pic) and it doesn’t leak? Also, why does the return jet “gurgle” when turned on/off...

I just noticed the weights have a small hole in the top of each (looks either manufactured that way or previous owner put them there). Thinking I should plug them?

Is there a way to seal the weights? Perhaps silicone or sealant? Or Gorilla tape?

Just to be safe I was thinking I might try and put foam tube on the bottom if I can get them to stay there

Wow the parts are expensive. Yeah, I might have to try and build some rails myself.

Thanks for sharing! Did your steps come with suction cups or did you put them on? Do they work? Also, are the weights I’m using prone to algae infestation?

I’ve been using a pool ladder and it seems those “pads” that are placed underneath are always moving. Not sure if pads would stay underneath steps in pic above?

Above ground pool. Any issues with placing these in above ground pool? The weights contain gravel. I’m worried about the steps/weights tearing the vinyl liner. Also, if ok to use, any ideas on where to get posts for the steps (See small holes 2nd step from top)
