    Swamp starting 😱

Hi! We had to take our cover off in the middle of winter this year for several reasons. Our pool is beginning to look like a swamp... Not just green, but slime and bubbles growing quickly on the top. I can literally see it getting worse on a daily basis. We have not turned the pump/filter on...

    When to use floc?

The polyfill worked wonders! It's time to add more water to my pool, although not as much as the first time. Does the polyfill need the shock level chlorine to catch the iron? Or will it work with regular levels of chlorine?

    When to use floc?

Or can I add some chlorine while I'm waiting on my CYA sock to dissolve?

    When to use floc?

One more hopefully easy question... My CYA is less than 20. Should I take the time to get it up before I start my slam?

    When to use floc?

Oh my goodness, you guys are amazing! I can't tell you how much easier you make my life and how many times you have saved my butt before I made mistake. 🤷‍♀️💗 My pH was low yesterday when I took my cover off and is now at 7.2 (no chemicals added yet). Does this seem fishy? Or should I just...

    When to use floc?

Hi friends! I'm opening my pool and had to put in about a foot of well water with high iron. I want to make sure I'm doing things in the right order. Do I adjust the pH, then slam, then floc? I just want to prevent the iron from staining the liner if at all possible. Thanks!

    Replacing concrete pool deck

If I'm understanding right, I don't think we have a coping cantilever. The concrete is poured flush with aluminum coping. I'll attach a picture. And yes, it is a vinyl lined pool.

    Replacing concrete pool deck

We are planning on replacing our concrete pool deck because it has become rough, cracked and unlevel. The concrete guy says he can tear the old concrete out and repour it. The pool guy says that would require replacing the coping and liner. Who should I believe? Thoughts?? Thank you for your...

    Air in new VS pump

Our old single speed ran with a TINY bit of air in the pump basket. We also used to have air coming out of the return jets that got better as the season went on. Now we have no air coming out of the return jets. 🤷‍♀️ Let me know if additional pictures would be helpful. Thank you!!

    Air in new VS pump

Sorry about the delay in getting back to this post. Well, you know... life was happening! Everything has been lubed. I understand that at low RPMs an air bubble is common but this has a LOT of air in it. I'm guessing like an inch or 1.5" down, even when it's on 2600 RMPs. There are no...
