Hi! We had to take our cover off in the middle of winter this year for several reasons. Our pool is beginning to look like a swamp... Not just green, but slime and bubbles growing quickly on the top. I can literally see it getting worse on a daily basis. We have not turned the pump/filter on...

The polyfill worked wonders! It's time to add more water to my pool, although not as much as the first time. Does the polyfill need the shock level chlorine to catch the iron? Or will it work with regular levels of chlorine?

Or can I add some chlorine while I'm waiting on my CYA sock to dissolve?

One more hopefully easy question... My CYA is less than 20. Should I take the time to get it up before I start my slam?

Hi friends! I'm opening my pool and had to put in about a foot of well water with high iron. I want to make sure I'm doing things in the right order. Do I adjust the pH, then slam, then floc? I just want to prevent the iron from staining the liner if at all possible. Thanks!

If I'm understanding right, I don't think we have a coping cantilever. The concrete is poured flush with aluminum coping. I'll attach a picture. And yes, it is a vinyl lined pool.

Our old single speed ran with a TINY bit of air in the pump basket. We also used to have air coming out of the return jets that got better as the season went on. Now we have no air coming out of the return jets. 🤷‍♀️ Let me know if additional pictures would be helpful. Thank you!!
