I have a Hayward sand filter and someone gave me a new lay flat hose for back washing. The catch is it's 2". I purchased a 2" fitting but it won't thread onto the discharge. Does anyone know what size and more importantly thread pitch I need to make this work? Thanks

Yep, it happened. No need to go into details, what's done is done. I see that the chlorine settles nicely into the bottom of the chlorinator, refusing to mix with the water on it's own. What is the remedy? Thanks
