I have been battling a green pool all year. Haven't even swimmed in it yet. I have been added lots of bleach for the past two months and still green. The only think I changed this year was I switched to Zeo Sand. I read to pour chlorine in the filter and take a pvc pipe and stir the Zeo around...

Just one more question. What is the importance of Combined Chlorine? Is that telling me if my shock level is o.k. or if my chlorine is being devowered by the algae.

So if I used the 10ml test and used 30 drops my FC would be 15....correct?

I just used the 10ml sample and used 7 drops which would be 35ppm....right? I used one drop to clear for the cc test which would be 5 ppm. After I did the drain and fill I did not add any algecide to the pool. Should I go but some and add it?

Re: CYA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My kit is 0.2 per drop if I fill the vial to 25 ml. I can also use the 0.5 ppm test if I fill the vial to 10ml, but I don't use that one. Sorry if I sound like I venting....I' am LOL...Now I am settled and will the water a good test...

My cya was at 100. I drained 2/3 of the water out and filled. It was 60. Now ot at 90. Is rain causing this? I can't drain and fill it again. I will have a $500 water bill if I do. Any suggestions? If not I have a free 24 foot pool if someone will come and get it.
