Yes, Ive been testing the salt levels the entire time. I cant get the salt level over 1000ppm. Using Aquacheck test strips.

Thanks everyone. Yeah, it didn't make much sense to me as the final product between the two types of pools is basically the same. I went ahead and ordered the SWG and cant wait to get it hooked up.

I'm starting to second guess the saltwater decision. It seems like a lot of above ground pools are deteriorating prematurely. Opinions?

Which Intex sand filter/pump would you recommend? The 2800 gph or 3000 gph? The 3000 is $50 more.

What about a skimmer? Is one necessary? If so, which brands? Hayward I heard makes a nice thru-wall one. Is it a good idea to compromise the integrity of the wall to install one? I worry about the liner tearing where the screws are.
