iAqualink....great product, do not buy version 1.0...only get 2.0

I started a different thread a few months ago with my faulty iAqualink 1.0 radio giving me problems due to heat. If you are shopping for iAqualink (new or upgrade), ONLY purchase the 2.0 version. The 2.0 version works great so far. The 1.0 version is an old wifi chipset (802.11b...

    Jandy iAqualink offline (wired connection)

It appears that the v1.0 iAqualink Jbox circuit boards have problems....besides the fact that it is ancient 802.11b Wi-Fi radio. I have heat related issues with mine.....once the temp hits 92/93 outside, boom...no Wi-Fi or ethernet connection. This is in the shade temp.

    DFW pool finish color question

Just saw this thread....I'm in Allen also. Our pool was installed in 2006, during a blazing hot summer (and a bad drought that year, which has only gotten worse). Our pool is Riverbend Sandler's version of Pebbletec ("Riversand") and is a Tahoe blue. I do notice it picking up some heat...

iAqualink radio overheating..loses connection. Zodiac is no help.

Edit Sept 2, 2014: I'm going to start a different thread on this, with my results/outcome. Zodiac did get me a new radio...more on that in the new thread. Anyone have problems with their iAqualink radio losing connection due to warm temperatures? I installed my iAqualink last November...

Advice on aqua link conversion upgrade?

Steve/poolkid......any advantages to the "T" version? I installed mine a few months ago....it's a "R". It's been pretty solid, so I have no real complaints. Installation was a breeze...plug and play. I did continue to use my old wireless Jandy PDA for a week or two.....until I figured out...

Upgrade options for aqua link rs8

It depends how old your Aqualink is. There are two iAqualink RS kits you can purchase. If your system is older than 2007, you get a new control board (swap it out), plus wifi capability (really nice!). The new control board gives you all the new firmware to control variable speed pumps...

    Aquapure and variable speed pump

Thanks for the reply Dave. Actually, I just figured out I don't have a problem. I totally forgot that "Lo" on the Aquapure screen means "low temp cutoff". ie....my pool water is 42 degrees, and the SWG cutoff is 50 degrees. I still have a 2k rpm limit, due to my plumbing height (above the...

    Aquapure and variable speed pump

Hi all, I installed a Jandy ePump (variable speed) this past weekend. Everything seems fine, but I noticed when I was out at the equipment pad this morning that my Aquapure was complaining of "low flow" while running at 2k rpms (my old pump ran at 3450). Anyone have this problem? I've...

Jandy epump....what are your speed settings?

Yep, this is what I thought also. I do have an adjustable valve on both the returns, but it's not automatic...I could probably partially shut the pool one, thus restricting it versus the spa return line, but that will likely impact my skimming.

Jandy epump....what are your speed settings?

I can divert the water to the spa only.....that's basically "spa mode". When in "pool mode", the pump returns water to the pool jets and the main floor jet in the spa (hence the overflow/waterfall effect out of the spa). Mark: any guesses why the spa wouldn't overflow at 1000rpm? It has to...

Jandy epump....what are your speed settings?

Ok, got the ePump installed today. Figured out there is no way I can run 1000 rpm. At any speed below ~2000 rpm, my spa stops overflowing. I guess there isn't enough backpressure on the pool return lines to keep water flowing everywhere at that speed. Does that sound right? I was...

Jandy epump....what are your speed settings?

Thanks Mark and Chad. Does your epump also drive your spa? Do you set it up to run a lower speed during freeze protect?

For those with a fountain or waterfall....

I uninstall my waterfall pump in the winter....and blow the lines out with compressed air. Saves a bunch of electricity (example...this past ice storm, it would have run for 60-70 hours straight on freeze protect).

Jandy epump....what are your speed settings?

Hi all, I'm going to replace my single speed Jandy pump with a Jandy ePump this weekend. I'm curious.......what settings do you run for normal pool circulation, spa, etc? There are bunch of options/speeds in iAqualink....just trying to decide how to configure the pump. All ideas...

    Aqualink RS4 Feeze Protection

I'm in the same area (DFW).....on the days mentioned, the temp was hovering around 34-35 degrees, back and forth all day (and night) long. My Aqua system came on and off a number of times, due to freeze protect (freeze protect on the Aqualink system defaults at 34 degrees.....you can't lower...
