I have a Jandy 3-way valve that diverts water from a dedicated vacuum port and the skimmer on the suction side. This is the only way I've been able to control the amount of suction going to the vacuum. If I want more suction to the vacuum, I get less suction from the skimmer (and visa versa)...

Update... I can turn the impeller all the way around, but I have to use two hands to do it. It should turn easier than this, correct? If it is this hard to turn, does that automatically mean "new motor", or can I replace ball bearings, etc.?

Ok... I pulled out the motor. If I place my thumb at the top of the impeller (12 o'clock) and then try turning it, my thumb reaches 2 o'clock before it stops. I can then turn it back to 12 o'clock, when it stops again. It isn't exactly a "hard" stop. Once it is "stopped" I can force it a little...
