I know someone who is selling this filter used and for very little money. I know nothing of these filters and have a few questions. 1 - would this filter be any good for a pool that is 18'x48" in size? 2 - what size pump would be recommended for this size filter? Cheers

no I did not use the test stripes I find them highly inaccurate.. the pool place tested the water this morning. I asked if they sold the Taylor test kits and they said no, only the test strips. :( Cheers

I do have a test kit... but apparently it's not good enough, what I use is the test strips. I have been to several pool places and not one of them sells test kits like the ones recommended on here, they just have the test stripes, which I have found out are not very accruate. The pool place...

thanks for all the help I went and purchased muriatic acid as well as stabilizer and will dose tonight, I am also adding bleach to bring my FC up to recommeded levels. Cheers
