They are actually everywhere. More than i could count. Even on the floor of the pool.

My CYA dropped to 50 and FC is 5. Should I keep the FC above 8?

I showed this to a professional pool guy and he said this is due to metal behind the plaster. The big spot is where the metal is visible. His recommendations were to empty the pool and replaster that part. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thank you for all your replies. I just went to the pool store to test the water. Here is what they are suggesting. Attached image. Do I really need to do the PHOSFree treatment? Or should i do the vitamin c tablet treatment?

I was referring to this recommendations - Pool School - Recommended Levels According to this it states the FC should be 3-7. What am i missing?
