The eucalyptus in my horses' pasture have the same little, sticky dots you mentioned. They make a heck of an ugly, sticky mess when they melt on my horses. I researched them to know they at least weren't toxic or harmful to them. They're not harmful ... the Aborigines use them for sweetener...

I really don't mind vacuuming my pool. It seemed to be doing a fair job considering there's a lot of in/out with my dogs and some with kids, too, tracking in a lot of dirt. But, to have to vacuum two days in a row with no dogs having been in and only 1 hr of light use between vacuuming is too...

Awesome fit! Do you have a surface skimmer? I wonder if the filter-sock will interfere much with the return directional?

Re: When to Test with SWG? Not sure where to start/go from h Alrighty then, back to Pool School I went. And to WallieWorld. I bought the 6-way test kit at WallieWorld and tested the CYA. Nothing. No cloudiness what so ever, black dot shining through to the end. No wonder the FC wouldn't hold...

Oh, meant to mention ... I'm no longer calling my pool my "splash" pool as my Golden doesn't particularly care for swimming. Training her on climbing the ladder sunk in as all I need do is have a hand on her collar and she has the confidence to climb. Training her in the pool to head for ladder...

Thanks for calming my fears, Jason. I let the pump do it's job last night with the solar cover on. It went 2hrs before I remembered to check, even! All was well in that the skimmer hadn't sucked down the cover. Though, I wonder if it was getting less flow. Nonetheless, I flipped the cover back...

Thanks for input! I ended up going with just leveling the ground and 1" foam boards Gorilla taped with the pond liner on top. No divots, love it. And, the legs ended up on the foam board, also. 1/4" is about as much as they sunk, too. I had planned on using some flagstone for supports, but...
