Should I seal my pool surface?

For the same reasons that you would seal any concrete surface.

Should I seal my pool surface?

If you do not seal concrete with aggregate, which type of surface would you seal?

Should I seal my pool surface?

It is not plaster. It is a concrete product with colored aggregate. Sorry for the confusion.

Should I seal my pool surface?

I have an in-ground pool with a concrete surface similar to pebble tec and I was wondering if I should be sealing this every few years as a matter of maintenance. I need to drain and clean the pool due to issues with the water chemistry and was wondering if I should take this opportunity to coat...

Petair IC40 Chlorinator not working; Repeatedly blowing fuses in power center

I removed the IC40 and looked at the cells. There wasn't any visible sign of scale that I could see. I suppose that it is worth a try to give it an acid wash to see if it will bring it back to life.

Petair IC40 Chlorinator not working; Repeatedly blowing fuses in power center

I have a pentair power center which powers the pentair IC40 which is 4 years old. The IC40 has no power at all and has blown the fuse in the power center. I replaced the fuse and it immediately burns out when I attempt to power it on. Foolishly, I began to replace the parts in the power center...

If I don't need it, how do I get the air into the system?

Plumbing new in ground pool - plumbing spa question

Now I'm more confused than ever. The image shows a blower attached to the hartford loop. I thought the whole point of the loop was to allow air into the system without the need for a blower. Is this not the case?

Plumbing new in ground pool - plumbing spa question

During construction I saw two "loops" of PVC pipe around the spa. (installed by the contractor prior to pouring the shell)

Plumbing new in ground pool - plumbing spa question

Since I'm not seeing the Venturi effect, I temporarily attached a blower at the pad (with the rest of the equipment) and I got air through to the spa. Although I do have the hartford loop, I'm still not seeing any air at the spa without the blower. I'm thinking that the spa line may be too long...

Yes, I'm brushing. How long would you suggest I brush? Days? Weeks?

    New to pool chemistry

I have a newly constructed pool with pebble finish (one week ago) and I am having difficulty understanding the proper pool chemistry. After running several tests, it indicates that I have a low total alkalinity (40). However, an acid demand test shows I need about 3 qt. of muriatic acid. From...

Newly installed spa- cloudy water after startup

Yes, it has begun to clear up as I continue to filter the water and adjust the water chemistry. I'm using the Poolmaster 5 way test kit. As far as I can tell, these test are sufficient to produce the proper pool chemistry. The overall alkalinity test helps to move the ph in the proper direction...
