UGGG Let me try to post this AGAIN!!!! Adding DE to a sand filter will catch all the fine particles that the sand filter lets slide by.. I added about 6 cups which seems to have brought it up 1 psi...

Hello I want to add DE to my ABG sand filter.. How much should I add? I am sure it is based on the pump's pressure and I am not sure how high I should raise the pressure.. Hope that makes sense lol.... Thanks :)

I havent taken off the winter cover yet (still a little chilly to swim) so not really sure how the water looks... From what I can tell it looks clear... I used the calculator last year so I am sure I could figure it out again.

I got my new pool cleaner... It is a Patriot for above ground pools. I used it last night and the hose kinks where you plug it into the skimmer.. Any advise on how to prevent it from kinking??

The pool will have been up a week this Wednesday and it is in need of a cleaning... I was wondering if I can vacuum even though all the CYA hasn't dissolved? The pool cleaner I will be using hooks up to the skimmer and not the return so I will need to backwash during cleaning..

I was in the pool last night and I checked on "the sock" to my surprise it is almost all dissolved.... It will be a week Thursday so I will check it then if it's all gone.... :party:

I was wondering if I would have used liquid CYA would it have been faster than using the granules.. It just seems to be taking forever to get the stuff in the pool... Yea, I know I am impatient lol
