Knock on wood I've hooked up to that pump drain for 9 years without a problem. I screw in an air line quick disconnect into it.

They used pea gravel under mine.

Mine is grounded at the same place as the pump. My copper rod is drove down in the ground by the pump pad with the wires from both hooked to it.

Ive noticed on mine that due to winter cold and summer extreme heat the area where the door is changes. It gets smaller or egg shaped. Like previous mentioned shave off some width from the door and you'll be fine.
