Taylor Salt Test Good, but Low Salt Light?

Sorry I just saw this - yes, it did resolve it for me.

Cause of Dark Discoloration on edges of fiberglass pool step?

This season we have noticed some darker discoloration on the edges of the steps in our fiberglass pool. The attached picture makes it look a little darker than they appear, but they are there, nonetheless. I assume it is the edges getting darker and not the rest of the surface getting whiter...

    Deep clean gone wrong

Thanks everyone for your help. That was not a fun job. Took me a while to realize I could unscrew the laterals and get the standpipe out, then scooping the sand just took a long time. I finally got it back together and we're working again.

    Deep clean gone wrong

Update - some gentle tapping with a rubber mallet loosened it up. The question still is - should it have lifted right off?

    Deep clean gone wrong

In another thread I recently resolved a bad flow switch problem with our SWG, and while doing research I read a lot about deep cleaning the sand filter. It has not been done in our years of ownership and all the things I read suggested doing it once a year. I disconnected the sand filter - a...

    Flow Light issues iChlor 30

Thanks again - this led me in the right direction. The new one was not closing even when I had it out. I squeezed the wire connectors again and it started detecting the closed circuit. One of them must have been very slightly loose, enough to not make contact. It's all back together and working...

    Flow Light issues iChlor 30

Awesome suggestion, thank you! It poured all day here yesterday so I didn't have a chance to try, but I'll report back this evening.

    Flow Light issues iChlor 30

Hey everyone, wondered if anyone had suggestions for my next steps with my iChlor 30. We opened the pool a couple weeks ago and it looked great. After some vacuuming and bringing the FC level up a little we were crystal clear. Everything seemed to be working great and we had a great weekend of...

Outdoor speakers to extend Echo music

If you can wire some outdoor speakers you can connect to them with either the Echo Amp as suggested above, or you could get a small cheaper amp and take the output from an echo dot. I'm doing this with Google Chromecast audios, but it would work the same way. I bought a couple pairs of these...

Red Flow light on this morning

Thank you as always for the quick and helpful reply. After posting I decided to give that a try, and though we had backwashed a few days ago, the water was looking pretty bad coming out of there. I let it run for quite a while and after restarting the pump the flow light is green right now at...

Red Flow light on this morning

Good morning everyone! We've been having a great year with our second summer having a pool, seeing good test results and clear water. Yesterday I noticed a little cloudiness, however, and when checking things out this morning I noticed the flow light was solid red on our iChlor 30. The salt...

Taylor Salt Test Good, but Low Salt Light?

Thanks everyone for the replies. After sending some info to my installer last night, I checked things out this afternoon. Taylor test once again read 3800, but today I have a short flashing red on the cell light on the iChlor. Additionally, I didn't even pay attention to it yesterday, but the...

Taylor Salt Test Good, but Low Salt Light?

Hi all! We've been having a good first summer with our pool thanks to the help and advice of the folks here along with some great swimming weather. Chlorine levels have been pretty good, and I've been working since our installer finished up on getting testing levels where they should be. CYA is...
