    Cloudy water after running robot

FC dropped from 7.0 to 6.0 last night. The pool is still slightly cloudy, and yes there is a little spotty build up on the sides and bottom, just a spot here and there, but I don't think I should be seeing that. I think I'll SLAM, it shouldn't be a long process. I'll report back in a day or two.

    Cloudy water after running robot

I performed OCLT. FC last night was 8.0, this morning 7.0 with no help from SWG. I'm going to do another test tonight, but it looks like algae isn't the problem.

When I tested again today FC was still at 9.0. That's with SWG running so not a true OCLT. I'll run OCLT tonight.

    Cloudy water after running robot

I returned to my house after a renter moved out and the pool has not been monitored for a couple of weeks. The water was completely clear and everything looked good except for what looked like a little algae in a few places on the sides, and some very fine debris (I suspect mostly pollen)...

    SLAM reassurance

I'm trying to be patient but it'a been 6 days now and still not clear. It's very slowly, getting very slightly better, but still cloudy. Plus, this has gotten a little more complicated because I had to leave last Thursday, and a neighbor has taken over SLAM for me. He has faithfully reported...

    SLAM reassurance

I need a little reassurance, or confirmation that this is going as it should. I've had renters taking care of my pool with strict instructions to follow TFP protocols. Unfortunately, the renters moved out, and haven't kept an eye on the pool for the past month. I'm not sure what went wrong...

Help ID and replacement of Aqua Rite SWG model and board

Tried the screwdriver and it worked (light went off) and did the hacked telephone wire today and it also worked. Time to buy a new flow sensor.

Help ID and replacement of Aqua Rite SWG model and board

JamesW Thanks for the help. I'll take your word on the rectifiers, the good news is my impatience only cost me $30 ;). I want to make sure I understand the telephone wire test for the flow sensor. C0d3Sp4c3 said -- "Get an old telephone cord and twist together the wires on one end...

Help ID and replacement of Aqua Rite SWG model and board

Wow, you guys and TFP are amazing. Unfortunately, or maybe not, I acted before getting all of this info. This is my pool, that I've managed since installation, but I'm renting the house now, and was only in town for a few days trying to help my renters get the pool up for the season, so I had...

Help ID and replacement of Aqua Rite SWG model and board

I heard back from B&L Enterprises, he says he's fixed my board, but a bad rectifier caused the burn and he's afraid it will happen again, suggests replacing both rectifiers. I don't even know what the rectifiers are ;)??? I'll search TFP and find out.

Help ID and replacement of Aqua Rite SWG model and board

Thanks everyone, you can always count on TFP for help. Yes it's rev 1.40, and the solder at the thermistor is a replacement I did a few years ago. I didn't know I could replace with a newer version, in fact that's why I wanted to have it repaired, to be sure it was compatible. I may have...

Help ID and replacement of Aqua Rite SWG model and board

Thanks ajw22, I wouldn't mind trying the repair myself, but after looking at B&L Enterprises site, that option seems best. I'll get it shipped off today!

Help ID and replacement of Aqua Rite SWG model and board

My Aqua Rite SWG (installed June 2008) started acting funny at the end of last year - inconsistent diagnostic readings, flashing numbers, wouldn't generate chlorine. I'm trying to open the pool this year, assuming I'm going to have to repair or replace the circuit board, but I'm getting constant...
