Well, there is a unused 220 V disconnect on outside wall about 20 ft from pump that has a 50amp breaker in box. Labeled for hot tub! But, I am contemplating selling house soon and would have to hire electrician. So, unsure what's best I guess.

No plans on automation. Would Hayward VS 1.5 hp be sufficient?

Can someone please help me identify this pump and perhaps recommend a drop in replacement. Pool is 28000 gal with 2skimmers,1 suction, and 2return lines. DE 36 sq ft filter,heater, and 1.5 in plumbing.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I'm just a bit further north in OH. I will assume Pleatco makes a quality product and hopefully I will be happy with their DE filter elements as well!

Hi everyone, I am needing to purchase new elements for Hayward 4820 DE filter. After looking around online, I have discovered there are several aftermarket brands with prices ranging from $90 to $400 for oem. Has anyone have any remarks good or bad for cheaper options? Thank you
