    Sider-Proof FF-PR Roll On Plaster

I’m starting to think this may actually be the truth. A lot of searching, both here and in general, has never led me to one single report on the sider plaster that wasn’t right after the initial application. No long term experiences, at all.

    Sider-Proof FF-PR Roll On Plaster

I’d like to know the answer to that question too! I’ve asked a couple people on the forums, but I can’t ever seem to get an answer beyond just after the job was done. Please do share some after-install experiences, I’m thinking of taking the same DIY plunge with Sider myself.

    Sider-Proof FF-PR Roll On Plaster

Should we assume it’s not doing too great? There seems to be little to no comments or information on long term performance.

Tile entire pool (rather than plaster)

Thanks for the input. I’m a little frightened of epoxy-based grouts, was thinking of good old unsanded tile grout or of using plain white plaster as the grout. Buying plaster is more of a trick than it should be, however.

    New pool build in Nicaragua

Can you let us know exactly what that product is? Also, can I rent your guys for about a month? (I’m joking. I think. )

Tile entire pool (rather than plaster)

The zipper effects and pattern mismatches, especially around the curved corners, are exactly why I was looking at the small round penny tiles. I figured on “grouting” them with plain white pool plaster, and knew that major surface prep of the chipped out tank (the chipping is already done) was...

Tile entire pool (rather than plaster)

This topic may be covered in here somewhere and if it is, please do help me find it. Every search I run for “tile” brings up nearly every thread. I’ve got an old gunite pool to remodel in a no-freeze area (Florida) and it’s been stripped back down to the shell. I’m seriously debating tile...

I'm curious how all the travertine is holding up for you now, two years later. Would you care to share your experiences?

    Travertine Underwater?

I don't share that concern, mainly because they are the exact same chemicals. What one manufacturer markets their particular bottle of the stuff for doesn't have an effect on how the compound will behave. I do have some experience with alkyloxysilanes, and can't figure out why I didn't think...

    Travertine Underwater?

That's weird, it works on my end. Here is what it is: Dropbox - Capture.JPG After thinking on this for a bit, the alkyloxysilane may be a good choice for a sealer but dip-treating it is a really bad idea. Silane makes the stone surface water repellant, meaning it would no stick to the...

    Travertine Underwater?

I used to spec "Silane 40" made by Lambert, which is also a alkoxysilane sealant (40% alkoxysilane in a water-based solvent medium) for my coastal parking garage decks (I'm a structural engineer). I wonder if it's the same stuff. Developers would never use something that is $200+ a gallon...

    Travertine Underwater?

Wow that Dry-Treat 40SK is $235 a gallon! Do you have experience with that- is it really worth it? What is this "dip coat method" you describe prior to applying that expen$ive sealant? The product instructions seem to suggest I should be using it on the coping also (I'm using a salt water...
