I’m starting to think this may actually be the truth. A lot of searching, both here and in general, has never led me to one single report on the sider plaster that wasn’t right after the initial application. No long term experiences, at all.

I’d like to know the answer to that question too! I’ve asked a couple people on the forums, but I can’t ever seem to get an answer beyond just after the job was done. Please do share some after-install experiences, I’m thinking of taking the same DIY plunge with Sider myself.

Should we assume it’s not doing too great? There seems to be little to no comments or information on long term performance.

Thanks for the input. I’m a little frightened of epoxy-based grouts, was thinking of good old unsanded tile grout or of using plain white plaster as the grout. Buying plaster is more of a trick than it should be, however.

Can you let us know exactly what that product is? Also, can I rent your guys for about a month? (I’m joking. I think. )

I don't share that concern, mainly because they are the exact same chemicals. What one manufacturer markets their particular bottle of the stuff for doesn't have an effect on how the compound will behave. I do have some experience with alkyloxysilanes, and can't figure out why I didn't think...
