thanks, I read about doing SLAM, fc is already high if I add more liquid chlorine it will be more than recommended does that mean the pool cannot be used?

FC 5.10 PH 7.2 6700 gallon above ground pool sand filter I use a Leslie pool basic test ( It uses Taylor chemicals) Its been hot here, I added some water today. The water is starting to get hazy what should I do?

Awesome, thanks all for the information. I am going to do the BBB. First, I am going to get a good testing kit and understand that I have to keep chemicals balanced. Thanks to you all I know that I have to do my homework and understand what is going on. Have a great 4th of July.

The water was cloudy and could not get it to clear, so I finally just drained pool. I scrubbed the pool yesterday. My next question is should I drain the sand and put new one in. As you can tell this is all new to me I have no idea if will get the problem back when I fill and start the pump...

I forgot to add the pool has a sand filter. the sand is one year old.

I take the water to a pool store they tested for me. They would only tell me I needed to shock pool I did put an algaecide but that did not do anything.

It is a splash pool, 17x29 the pool water never went green. I did not drain pool water in winter. I put flock as recommended by pool company to get water clear. I was never able to get water clear after opening pool.
