Yes, I added way to much when I did it for the 1st time back in May. I use Aqua Check Borate test strips, which max out at 80. I got the 90 number from a computer analysis done at the pool place yesterday. It showed the Optimizer level of 90.

Lana, Thank you for taking the time to respond! I found out the level was 90 by getting the water tested at the pool place using the computerized method. The test strips show it at least 80. I just want to make sure it's not going to hurt anything or anyone being that high until it comes...

I was wondering since I am using SoftSwim & Borates in my pool, do I still need to be adding SoftSwim A??? If the Borates prevent all algae from growing, what would be the point in adding an Algacide as well? Thank you for your time & efforts!
