    Sudden Drop in pressure. Help!

ya I tried to backwash it however the pressure is too low to do anything... I checked the skimmer line with a DRAIN KING. Water comes through no problem. Also, it gets to normal operating PSI then drops.... builds up again... then drops... really weird.

    Sudden Drop in pressure. Help!

Hi guys, Something really weird is going on.... I'm getting normal pressure, then sudden drop, then back up to normal, then back down and it stays there. Things I've done: Cleaned the skimmer line (only have one) Blew out (with air) the skimmer line from the pump. no problems that I can tell...

    Confused: I've been advised...

The renovations are finished!! We decided on going with one skimmer and 3 returns. With the upgraded return lines, the water pressure moves the surface debris very efficiently. No dead spots. Thanks for all your help!

    Confused: I've been advised...

hehe... I think i only broke out the skimmer net once in the last two years! THANK GOD! Ya, I'm replacing the deck with pavers! The one skimmer, in the corner of the pool, is currently disconnected. It was connected in series when it was built, but due to a leak it was disconnected. I have...

    Confused: I've been advised...

Ya Durk! Thats the current operating skimmer. It's not exactly center, more like 40/60 on the long side of the pool, but close enough. I've been reading that having more than one skimmer can cause "dead spots" Does yours have any dead spots with one skimmer?

    Confused: I've been advised...

It was built in 1971 and has two skimmers, however one was disconnected years ago and the pool has been operating fine on one (closest to house middle of pool). It seems to collect most of the surface debris with no problem. I...

    Renovating. Do I... hmmm....

Thanks guys... still wondering if its worth the extra $$$ for the flexibility/efficiency stated above... let alone something horrible happens and there's a leak, its easier to shut down one than all! One installer wants to core drill all the returns... makes sense, but I kinda think, if it...

    Renovating. Do I... hmmm....

I am the owner of a lovely 20x40ft 1971 in ground poured concrete pool! The pool has two skimmers and three returns. 2 years ago, I moved all the pool equipment from inside the house to outside. When I did that I replaced the return and Skimmer lines to the pool (aprox 45 ft). There, I cut...
