Pool water is still light green after 2 weeks of slam!

Hello! Sorry I haven't given an update, but we've had our grandsons some this summer and it's been hectic! I wanted to show you how beautifully clear our pool water is and say "THANK YOU" for all your advice. We eventually took our steps out and I spent some time washing out all the sand that...

Pool water is still light green after 2 weeks of slam!

Hello! Just wanted to give an update. I received my test kit refill yesterday and did the OCLT last night and my FC went down from 25 last night to 20 this morning. We accidentally added a little more chlorine than needed! I had to vacuum a lot of brownish/reddish powder from the grooves...

Pool water is still light green after 2 weeks of slam!

Thank you! I will do an OCLT tonight to make sure it's not algae. I have vacuumed all the brownish stuff that seems to collect on the floor of the pool and scrubbed like crazy! I am hoping that my refill for the R-0871 arrives today or that I have enough left for the OCLT tonight/morning...

Pool water is still light green after 2 weeks of slam!

Thank you all for the input! Here's a picture of our pool this morning and we are still a pretty shade of green with some sediment or algae in the grooves of the liner. Is it ok to slam at algae level 24 to see if that will help? I'm also thinking of asking my husband to take the steps back...

I just tested and my FC is 23 and CYA is about 70. I'm getting ready to add 104 oz. of bleach per Pool Math. Should I drain any water from the pool or just keep slamming & see what happens? I will try to get a picture of our pool this afternoon. Thank you so much!

I'm using the TF-100. I have only been testing the FC & CYA levels so far. This morning my FC was 18 and my CYA was 60-70. I have added the bleach recommended on "poolmath" and going to trying to keep my FC at 28. Should I be testing the other levels also during the slamming process? If so...

I have been working on the SLAM process and it looks better, but still some cloudiness. I haven't been able to monitor as much during the day and it's been extremely hot here. I see some little improvements everyday & I can now see the fourth step at the bottom of the pool! I was trying to...

Hello! I'm Lynn and we just purchased a home with a 24' round above ground pool in Rockingham, NC about a month ago. We were going to get rid of the pool after we seen the black water in the pool and the amount of tadpoles/frogs! I came across Trouble Free Pool and decided to see what I could...
