Streaming music to passive speakers - yes another audio question

Whoa - way out of my budget unless it was on sale for 90% off. How do the speakers work keeping the music contained to the listening area. I have neighbors fairly close to me and I would like to try to keep the sound from spilling into the neighbor's property.

Streaming music to passive speakers - yes another audio question

Thanks @ajw22 It does seem like that is the "best" option. I'm just also trying to include the "poor man's" Sonos as options for me and potentially anyone else that is trying to do this on a budget.

Streaming music to passive speakers - yes another audio question

I am looking for a fixed option to where I don't have to worry about making sure the bluetooth speaker is charged and bringing it in and out every time I go outside and also from one end of the patio to the other when I move to a different sitting area or start grilling. I also prefer to have...

Streaming music to passive speakers - yes another audio question

Does the Roku TV have controllability with an iphone? i.e. Can I play music from my phone or from an app on my phone through the tv/speakers? Or would it all be through the tv remote? I am also not sure of the apps available on the Roku TVs, but that certainly is an option. Target has a 32"...

Streaming music to passive speakers - yes another audio question

So forgive me for the redundancy that this post will inevitably have, but I am looking into options for enjoying music on my patio, and have jumped around between multiple threads on here that have a wealth of information. But in able to collate that information into one spot, and determine the...

    Sonos!!!

I am hoping that someone else comments on this that can give you better explanation. I am still trying to decide how to complete my setup and am looking into something similar (with a mixture of wireless/wired speakers). However, what I believe you need would be a receiver of your choosing for...

New in ground build in League City, TX

I will second SpringPool comment regarding VS Pump. We just replaced our pump due to the motor going out and added a variable speed pump. I have enjoyed it a lot and it will save a bunch of money in the long run. Make sure the pump works in connection with whatever automation you do. Also, I...

New in ground build in League City, TX

I would go with PB 2. More patio area for chairs, furniture is always preferred for me. Its a lot more difficult to add patio sq ft than to do it on the front end. Plus I just personally like it better, but if you prefer PB1, I would ask about extending the patio. It doesn't have to be huge...

Replace Fiberstars FiberOptic Inground Pool Light

I am thinking that it would not be worth it to repair the fiberoptic option due to complaints about brightness and the fibers wearing out sooner. It seems like retro-fitting it to the LED option as noted above would be best, but it just seems like an expensive option on the heels of replacing...

Replace Fiberstars FiberOptic Inground Pool Light

After reading this recommendation, others, and looking at this and looking into this option a bit more - is there any way of retrofitting the fiberoptic lights with somethign that does not cost $700+? It looks like this option involves a $200-300 light (per light) plus a Power Tower/Transformer...

Replacing my pump with Pentair Superflo VS Variable Speed Pump? HELP

Well I made the leap. Purchased the Superflo VS and I installed it this evening. I figured I would wait to pressurize the fittings until the morning, giving it overnight to be safe. Let's hope for no leaks! I already love it, and I haven't turned it on yet.

Replacing my pump with Pentair Superflo VS Variable Speed Pump? HELP

Interesting. I would assume that the saddle clamp idea would have the water running to the slide all the time...Not sure if I want that. I guess I could install a saddle clamp and some type of valve before the hose/plumbing that runs to the pool that I could close or open if needed. Thanks.

Replacing my pump with Pentair Superflo VS Variable Speed Pump? HELP

I do not expect to need any automation system. We do not have a spa, heater, or any other features that would benefit from it. We do have a water slide, but it is plumbed with an alternative water source. The only problem with the slide is that it adds freshwater to the pool the entire time...

Replacing my pump with Pentair Superflo VS Variable Speed Pump? HELP

Sorry in advance, I know there are a million posts on variable speed pumps, but I get confused easily on this stuff and wanted direct responses to my particular needs. Therefore: After thinking for a couple of years about potentially replacing our outdated pump with a variable speed pump due...
