Ok after the handle broke completely off in my hand, I see a new # printed on the flipside. SP 710 FL. I do get a few google results. But the handles are pretty pricey. Does anyone know if there is a different newer style handle that is interchangeable and cheaper?

I have a Swim Pro SP7116W multiport... and the handle broke. I can't find any replacement.When I google that filter there are no results found! Does anyone now what will work on it?

I'm not sure, it's whatever came with that filter. After the epoxy dried on diffuser for 24 hours I put laterals back in and replaced sand and it's not blowing back. So I guess I'll call it good.

That gray basket thing is called the overdrain diffuser.

My Hayward SwimPro SW166T/164T is blowing sand and debris into the pool during filtration. It has always done it during backwash if I don't shut the valve on the return hose. The laterals and hub were new last summer. Only had the prob during backwash. Now it's always. I emptied sand and...

Ok i figured out what that door is... it's never had one. There's not a place where one is supposed to go either.

I have no clue what a weir door is. I've run at different levels, and it still does it.

My pump is creating a tornado-like thing in the skimmer and sucks air constantly. The only thing I have found that helps is to run it with 3 chlorine tabs on their sides in the basket. I guess this reduces the suction enough to not make the whirlpool thing. But as soon as those tabs break down...

How much is too much? approx 16xxx gal of water in pool.

I added 2# ascorbic acid and have been running filter for about 12 hours straight. The stains have not lightened at all. I'm sure it's iron because I used the vitamin c tablets to test and as they sat on the bottom they made wonderful bright clear spots! There is a blue liner in there after all...
