Thank you so very much! I was hoping it was okay but decided to take it apart to make sure. Now I am cleaning it. A few leaves and other small debris were churned up while they were swimming. :(

Husband decided to open the pool for my girls yesterday when I was at work. Even after a text the day before telling him NOT to run the pump he did anyway. I had not put in any D.E. yet. The girls think he ran it for 1-2 hours. My water was crystal clear, and still is, so no algae to deal with...

How old is your pool? It looks identical to the one we have. We replaced our liner for the first time in 15 years last year and I worried about the cold winter we had too. I have to fix some of the support blocks too.

I have not taken the cover off yet, but underneath is crystal clear. I decided to top it off, get the pump hooked up, and then I will take off the cover. It is warm now but it is supposed to drop later in the week to around 42 at night for at least 6 nights. Sadly we are no going to be swimming...

I think we were around that temp also, even though I am north of you. I was told this once about opening it up early so now I guess it is true. I have had many green pools in the spring because I was told I waited too long. But then again, I do not want to run my filter and run up the electric...

Casey what part of PA are you in? I live in central PA near State College and it is still cold here. 50s mostly with an occasional 45. Should I open the pool anyway? What happens if you wait? Does it get green? At this rate we will not be swimming until mid May.

I just got in the pool. brr. It is up to 74. I believe the water is coming in slightly warm, so now I believe it is more the angle of the panels. UGH

There is a white hose on the bottom of the picture that is supposed to take the warm water directly into the pool. It leaves the diverter value and goes to the pool inlet. I did not take a picture of that. sorry

I have no idea. I just follow the installation instructions. When we had one large panel it would come in from the pool to the bottom of the panel, and zig zag through and come out the top. The warm water then goes into the pool. I am not 100% sure how it works with 2 panels. I have to assume...

You can see in this picture the panels are getting enough sun. Yes, the area around everything is a mess. We replaced our liner, and changed the location of our filter and I never did the finish work.

That is what I am thinking. I wonder if the bevel inside dislodged. I am not sure how, since it has not moved since the time we set it up. It worked then. Pardon the mess, I spilled the DE last time I changed it out and we have not had enough rain to wash it away. :oops:
