Big Things Happenning! New build underway

Wow! It looks great! I love the tile inserts you did also. Nice touch. We too are in California but southern San Diego area. We are week 16 or our pool build and they are acid washing our pebble finish today and adding water. Yippee!! I wish we were on a set fee for our water here in our...

    Picking Stonescape pool color

We have settled on the Midnight blue. We get a lot of sun in our yard and want a contrast color with all the light travertine and stone. Hopefully it will be installed on Monday and water on Tuesday. I can't wait!!!

    Pool and Door alarms

Thank you everyone. I did find a door alarm that I think will fit our needs. It's either on chime or alarm. I will set the alarm when the grandkids are over and the chime for just my husband and myself. My inspector said most folks take them off after inspection. He told me that I could buy...

    Pool and Door alarms

I do have a security system in our home. When the door opens, it chimes. I want additional security devices. We are required to have door alarms for California and that's about it that I know of. The alarm I have has a bypass to go out but not to come in. The alarm goes off when ever I come...

    Drain pipes for landscape

My landscape guy did come over and explained to me that they are drain pipes for landscape and not the pool. They are a white ribbed pipe and he said that is how it is done. I was comparing them to the pool plumbing pipes and they are smaller and glued with joint covers on them. Sorry, being...

    Drain pipes for landscape

I was taking pictures of my plumbing as suggested before they cover up the pipes and noticed that the drain pipes have duct tape on them. I asked my landscape contractor and he said that's how it is done. I thought it should be glued and couplings? Does anyone know?

Wow!!! Beautiful! You are so talented. Your pool is hugh and such a cool design. I agree with the others, you should become a pool designer and builder. Where are you in So. California? Looks pretty with the snowy mountains in the background. I love it! I can't wait to see how it all ties...

    First time pool owner

I tried to post in Construction but since it was my first time posting I couldn't post there? My husband is 6'6 so he has his own seat in the spa. My neighbor shared this idea with us for her tall husband. I am enjoying watching how a pool is built. This forum is so helpful to us since this...
