    Mesh Cover Not an Option?

OK, so now I am understanding this a little bit better. It seems like a mesh cover with the pillows is the best option. With a pool that is 15' by 30', does anyone know how many pillows I will need and what size? I see 4' x 5' and 4' x 8' options on Amazon.

    Mesh Cover Not an Option?

Well, the mesh cover is submerged in the middle by at least a foot or two of water. I've pulled it as tight as I can and the pool is drained below the skimmer. I want to protect it from damage and I'm trying to think what the easiest way to do that is. New solid cover? One of those blow up...

    Mesh Cover Not an Option?

I have a mesh cover for my AG pool. Last winter in New England we had a crazy amount of snow in February. It ended up damaging my liner and parts of the wall are crumpled although I'm told it's structurally sound. I had the liner replaced. The gentleman who replaced it said I should get a pump...

Choosing new pump for AG cartridge filter

Hello! My pump died, it was a 2 hp 2 speed. For my 15 X 30 above ground pool I'm discovering that was big and being told that 2 speeds are not common or necessary. My question: 1 or 1.5 horsepower? Isn't it better to have a little more power ? And 1 or 2 speed? I didn't use high too often but...

    Broken Fixture

Thanks everyone! You're awesome. So I ran it over to the pool place today and they managed to get it out without breaking anything. And they only charged me $10! Phew. Now to open my extremely green pool for the first time by myself. The liner was torn, got that replaced. Got this fixed. There...

    Broken Fixture

There is some kind of putty in the threads. - - - Updated - - - There is no lip on the bottom (my picture doesn't show) so I couldn't get anything around it.

    Broken Fixture

Yes there is nothing on the bottom. Not sure how I could grab onto it to twist it out. Maybe smash it?

    Broken Fixture

Hello, I went to open my above ground pool and the fixture that attaches the hose to the filter is snapped. My ex closed the pool last year for me and I don't remember him mentioning this to me but he might have! The part that snapped is attached to the housing for my filter and I'm not sure...

    lining ripped :(

This winter the weight of the snow caused my pool cover to fall inside the pool. Then all the water evaporated I guess. I went out yesterday to add water to the pool and noticed two 6 inch long slits in the lining near the bottom. So now I have an empty pool with a ripped lining. :( Any advice...

First time closing an above ground pool

Hmmm... still intimidated but have a few days of shocking to do to figure it out! I'm going to buy a leaf net I decided. Is 16' by 32' big enough for a 15' by 30' pool? Thanks so much for the answers by the way, I appreciate your time and patience with me considering these are probably stupid...

First time closing an above ground pool

Hi Everyone, This is my first year closing my above ground pool. I am a little intimidated and have been procrastinating. I've just printed out the document "Closing Your Above Ground Pool." A few questions: -- Do you think this is something a relatively fit woman can do on her own? Or will I...
