I have considered tearing into it - but it's 4 months old with a 12 month warranty. The pump it replaced was a rebuilt from a place in Phoenix - lasted 6 years - this brand new hayward lasted 4 months lol

Good point! it's only been 24 hours so far, but I may pop the top on that thing and add a gallon of bleach just to be on the safe side No word yet from Hayward, so it may be a week or more before we're operational again

how does lack of circulation affect testing?

Thank you to everyone for your replies. I put a submersible sump pump I had in there for some temporary circulation - only moves about 500 GPH but better than nothing I think. Still waiting to hear back from Hayward on the warranty procedures. The pool sits close to several trees and crepe...

how does lack of circulation affect testing?

    Newbie - Green water

For us, the TFP way is both cheaper and more convenient. It sure beats running to the pool store to buy Crud we really don't need that will never solve the problem.

replacement wall material for buried AG

We have an AG pool that is buried about 2 feet - been in the ground for 8 years now. Due to poor chemistry habits in the past, we anticipate needing to change our liner out next year - we've had to patch 3 or 4 spots so far this year and they keep popping up. We also have rust on the outside of...

    Looking for a SWG

I've read several posts here where people have successfully done a swg with a sand filter - I hope that having a sand filter won't be an issue since I just bought the Intex swg for our pool. Wallyworld has them on their website for 159.99 - our local store had them in stock (despite the website...
