    Just filled pool and leaking

Everything I’ve read says 1/4” a day is normal for evaporation. No cover yet, and warm 90+ days lately. The builder is sloppy no doubt, but does have a leak specialist who is working with us. He’s been out several times a week, and has pressured tested everything except the Riverflow system...

    Just filled pool and leaking

We don't have a well, sorry if that was confusing. The sump pulls water from under the pool, that's all. They already plugged the valve, and that reduced or stopped the leak so they replaced with the new hydrostat. They are 99% sure the leak is fixed with that, but the sump was still running...

Yes, we have a hydrostatic valve. This was replaced with a heavier duty one as they believe it was the cause of the leak and it has fixed (or atleast improved) the leak. No wells around us. This sump is indeed set to refill our pool. It is hooked directly to our pool filter.

They say the sump is because we have a high water table combined with a deep pool. No water loss overnight with the sump off, so somehow it was draining water instead of refilling it.

They came out today and ran the sump line, put about 2 inches of water back in the pool. And now they've turned it off for tonight to see if we lose water. I'm really at a loss why it'd put water back in right now, but won't overnight.

Wanted to give an update on our leak. Contractor plugged the main drain and it seemed to help, so they replaced with a heavier duty valve and all seemed good. They also scheduled a sump line below the pool to run nightly for a couple hours All seemed great until the last couple days. During the...

8 PH (maybe more, it's more purple than even the scale) 0 Total Chlorine (my cheaper test kit did show 1ish ppm) 0 Free Chlorine 0 CYA 40 TA 220 Calcium As a reminder this is a new pool, plastered 6/7, filled 6/8. They added some startup chems, not sure exactly. I added 1 gallon of muratic on...

They came by and "re-set" the main drain. Not quite sure what that means, but I've refilled and running the bucket test again!

    First Swim

Just wanted to give an update, the PH did drop a bit and we swam all weekend. But PH is back up to 8+ again. My Taylor 2005 just came in and my first test was CYA. It might as well have been a 0 reading, but I do know they had added some when the pool opened so not sure what's going on now...

Just checked, and showing 1/4" loss already. In the bucket hasn't moved.
