Cutting a liner for new intake and return. With pics.

Re: Cutting an Intex-type liner for new intake and return. W Oh yeah. Slip of the blade can be a costly mistake. I know cutting my $1k pool was a little intimidating. But I manned up! Did it at night.... In the dark..... LOL which I definitely don't recommend.

Re: Cutting an Intex-type liner for new intake and return. W You could have also cut the circle out on the vinyl patch before gluing it onto the pool liner. I find it makes and easier and safer cut to the liner as the knife is guided along the added patch. Just saying.

Well Bthorn there are a few things to consider. Set up isn't bad if the ground close to level. I put pavers because I don't take my pool down at the end of swim season. If you are going to be taking it down every year and the ground is close to level then I wouldn't worry about pavers. It really...

Well here are some of the pictures I promised. The Skimmer is working flawlessly. Not only does it work but it has increased my sand filter pressure from 15 psi to 25 psi. I was really nervous about cutting the liner but by taking the time to make a template out of my old pool liner and glueing...

It appears that they have Carterj92. I spoke with Intex a couple weeks back and they didn't have a whole lot of info about it or wasn't willing to give any info. But WalMart does still sale the 24' x 52" Metal Frame for $899. They no longer carry the Ulltra Frame in a 24'. Looks like they went...

Also I think it might actually reduce the bowing that occurs on the verticals when the pool is filled?

Question: Has anyone setup an Intex pool on 2" Paving stones allowing the vertical supports to be elevated 2" higher than the bottom of pool liner. Having trouble with drainage is one reason I would like to elevate the verticals. Secondly it would be nice to get more wall height which in turn...
