    Thanks for all the help... The black disk (current limiter?) does not appear burned or cracked but for a few bucks it is worth giving it a try....

    Voltage across both legs is 240V. Still cannot find a fuse... looking for either a glass tube type fuse or an automotive style yellow fuse.. No signs of burns or cracks on any of the components. What else do I need to check???

    I rechecked visual of the board and noted nothing of significance. checked voltage between the 2 legs at 240V. Still cannot identify fuses unless they are hidden on the back side of the board. Don't know how to load a pix of the board. What is the next step in diy? Thanks, John

    Thanks for the response. I have removed the cover and cannot locate a fuse.. When it stops raining (wonderful rain), I will check it again and take a picture of the board for you to look at. I'll also check the voltage between the 2 legs.
