Yesterday our heat index got to 110+. Last night my husband went out to get a sample to test water and the pump was off. The switch was still on, but the pump was really hot. We turned it off and went back out in the morning to try it. It made a buzzing/humming sound, but wouldn’t come on...

It is a Pentair Triton II high rate sand filter.

We opened our pool today. Now the air relief valve is leaking out the relief side. I haven’t been able to find a replacement online that looks like this one. Any suggestions? It’s a dark picture, so I circled the relief where it is leaking.

We were gone a week for vacation and used chlorine tablets. Now my readings are 5 FC, 40 TA, and 7.0 pH. I haven't been home in daylight to check the CYA yet. Before we left TA was 80 and pH was 7.3. Based on pool math, we need to add 2lbs 15 oz of Borax for pH and 7lbs 1 oz of baking soda...

I usually shoot for the low end for CYA so I don’t get it too high. We have an Atwood’s in Ponca. I don’t think that’s where we get ours, but maybe we should be!

I thought that might be the case, but was confused when the overnight test didn’t show a bigger drop. Also my FC hasn’t gotten to zero and I test it each evening. I think I’m going to raise the CYA level and then retest to see if I need to slam.

Yes. It’s on the west side of our house and doesn’t get shade until around 7pm.
