Trick To Reinstalling My Inground Pool Light?

I did Ted's steps with one change in bold.

    Solar cover?

If you do not have a reel, then I would think the 8mil would be fine,,,easier to get off. I have a 12mil with a reel system. The 12mil cover rolls up nicer then the 8mil did. My cover is blue for two reasons: 1- Cuts the FC loss from the sun. 2- Rather look at fake blue water then clear...

Sand Filter - just not cutting it?

I would use the floc before messing with adding more filters. You mentioned that is how you cleared it in the past. I just noticed that this is an AG pool. Note sure how well the stuff on the bottom of the pool is getting suspended, so the skimmer can send it to the filter. Your skimmer is...

    Outdoor Speaker Opinions...PLEASE

I am very happy with our Yamaha speakers. Going on three years without any issues. I do take them in for the winter. Installed junction boxes with banana plugs for a quick disconnect of the wires. My setup is probably different then most since I have the speakers out by the filter. They...

Sand Filter - just not cutting it?

I have the same problem and I find it quicker to use floc after the algae is dead. When the algae is dead, I get the pool to shock level again and add the floc, run the filter on recirculate for 2 hours, and then shut off the pump for two days. You will want your water level high when you...

Liquidator inlets to the PVC pipe in and out

Jason's idea is the best. You are not bypassing the filter. The water leaves the filter and goes back into the suction side of the plumbing. I use this technique for my startup. I leave the LQ out of the plumbing until the pool is clean. And if you wanted to use those fittings again, just...

3 way valve settings - drawing a blank!!!!

Do not close the main drain going towards the spa drain with the spa drain closed too. You may be buying a new pump. When vacuuming, use current pictured setup and close the skimmer without your vacuum hose attached. You want all water coming from your vacuum source.

3 way valve settings - drawing a blank!!!!

The bottom valve, by your toes, have both sides open. Could this be for two skimmers? Handle is @ 12 o'clock and the wider closed part is at 6 o'clock. The valve straight up from it, by the grey conduit, is closed. Main Drain for pool? Handle is @ 6 o'clock and wider closed part is 12...

    eyeball removal tool?

I had to use channel lock pliers before. If you wrap the threads with teflon tape, this will make removing the eyeballs easier. I forgot to wrap the pressure cleaner adapter in the spring. Needed the pliers and already wrapped the threads for next year.

Any tricks for ladder install, for easier removel?

Took Ted's advice in the spring and ran caulk around the ladder and rails. I caulked at the top of the anchor just filling in the gap around the metal tube. Well they all came out without any effort today. I just unscrew the bolt that locks them in and then tap the bolt down to lower the...

    Isolating solar heater?

Some of the 3-ways are positive seal, no leakage past the closed part, and some have a hole in the gate part to allow the panels to drain without opening the valve. So in theory, if you have to cut your solar pipes after the 3-way and leave them open for repair, a small stream of water may...
