    iAqualink 2.0 Connection Problem

Just had a brand new iAqualink 2.0 system installed and even got it connected to my wireless network (solid yellow and green lights). However, when I go to their website to add the device to my account, after typing in the serial number and a location name, I get the error "Make sure device is...

    Another Green Monster

Convinced my pool guy to do some vacuuming “blindly” (he wanted to wait for the water to clear so he could see). This helped a lot. Finally started to see some progress and today I can see the bottom! Not the heads or tails of a coin but the bottom nevertheless. I’m optimistic that we will be...

    Another Green Monster

Thanks for the advice. Will try these. If I decide to drain and refill is there any downside besides wasting 30k gallons of water and all the chemicals I’ve put in so far?

    Another Green Monster

Dont be sorry, I appreciate the quick response! I’m pretty sure about the CYA. I usually have my son’s younger eyes double check me. Using a brand new TF-100 kit. I have been removing any floating debris but there is probably quite a bit more on the bottom (cant see). Will run the robot vacuum...

    Another Green Monster

So I had a double whammy- a hole in my cover over the winter and two weeks of no power to my pump due to a cut electrical line. The result is quite green. This is not my first SLAM and I have been successful before using the advice on TFP. I really thought I had it down but I am on day #13...

    Pipe sizes and spa jets

Any opinions on this? Just want to know if it makes sense to switch to a single pump or if I should stick with two.

    Pipe sizes and spa jets

Not sure a blower will give me the same effect. Back to my original question, if using 1.5” pipes for suction and 2” pipes for returns is that going to limit flow at the jets?

    Pipe sizes and spa jets

There is 2 inch piping to the heater. I should add that the 2hp pump with 2 inch pipes is currently sufficient to power the spa jets. I never use the 2 pumps together. - - - Updated - - -

    Pipe sizes and spa jets

So I have a “spa” attached to my pool and I put it in quotes because when they built it they did not isolate it from the rest of the pool. Currently it has It’s own 2hp pump using 2” plumbing. My pool uses a 1.5hp VS pump and 1.5” plumbing. I have several valves that need to be turned in order...

    Temporary pump

I should add that the water is currently green due to a hole in the cover over the winter. I have had a submersible pump running but didn’t think that would be adequate for SLAM so I have not been adding chlorine. Do you think it would work?

    Temporary pump

Due to a story that would be too long to tell here, I currently have no power to my pool's electrical subpanel. Electrician needs to run a new line from the house, which will be in about a week. In the meantime, I would like to get some water circulating and filtering. My plan was to hook my...

    Thinking about automation

I am thinking about automating my pool but I am still currently running mostly old equipment. I do have a Hayward Super Pump VS variable speed pump for the pool. I have an old Lars heater which I am surprised each season that it fires up again. The VS pump and heater are controlled by an...
