    PH keeps rising

I've been using the spa daily. I measure mid-day, long before i use it in the evening. The test kit is brand new. I've been maintaining bromine levels between 1 and 6 (challenging to keep it stable.) I'll keep an eye on the Gentle Spa. Now that I read more, there seems to be lots of conflicting...

    PH keeps rising

I have a new-to-me small hot tub. I'm using bromine. All seems to be going OK following the 3-step process outlined in the sticky. However, I can't maintain PH - every day it's back to 8 or above. I add PH down and the PH drops but then rises again by the next day. TA started over 70 and now is...

    Intex pools in short supply?

The liner on my 6-year-old intex 12x24 ultra frame is about to go. I was looking to replace it and am having trouble finding them. Or they are ridiculous prices like $3000 and up. They usually run about $1200. Is it the pandemic? Maybe intex is making hand sanitizer and masks right now instead :)

Researching Intex AG Pools - Looking for Advice

Welcome to TFP! You'll find everything you need here. As ajw22 said, saltwater is just a different way of creating chlorine using a saltwater generator. Some people think chlorine is bad, but it's a myth. Chlorine is the best way to sanitize a pool. The bad smells and other effects often blamed...

Ground Prep for Intex Pool - Nuances

Yeah, tarp that came with the pool. Then buy the 4x8 foam insulation pads from Home Depot or wherever. 1/2" thick is what I have. Tape the pads together with gorilla tape and place on top of the tarp. I think I did a triple layer application of tape. Mine's been solid for 6 years now.

    Draining Intex 12X24.

I decided to drain and refill my pool this year. It's been 6 years and the hardness had become too high for the SWG and was causing skin irritation. Thought I'd post my method since a youtube video showed it took 2 or 3 days for a guy to drain his pool using the Intex drain plug. You can buy a...

    Sand filter size too big?

You will *love* that filter. You can't have too big a filter (or really it's the pump you're talking about).

    Favorite AGP gadget / accessory?

Dolphin Escape cleaner. That plus the swg and skimmer make the pool complete. Or the deck I built. That was a game changer. Oh, and the stairs :) And the shower attachment - the kids love that - even the big teenagers. And the Intex magnetic light. Other than that, nothing I can think of. Well...

    Heater & pump/filter recommendations for Intex XTR Ultra Rectangular 24ft x 12ft

I'd recommend you consider upgrading the filter to the largest one Intex makes. They always under spec the filter on the pool. No hurry on this though - maybe you'll be satisfied with the basic model - it's a good pump. Install a through the wall skimmer. This is a game changer for pool...

Ground Prep for Intex Pool - Nuances

    1. Seems like 1/2" foam is fine. Any more seems excessive to me. 2. Pass - I live in the desert and nothing grows here but cactus 3. Use 4" pavers and you won't have a problem.

    Pool heater

I would consider 2 panels for that pool. It's almost twice as big as mine and I'm wishing I had a 2nd panel.
