Need to replace cover over the inlet?

I have no idea if I've described the part correctly. I have an above ground pool, and I'm talking about the place where the water comes back into the pool after going through the filter... We are entering our 3rd season with the pool and the round ring that goes around the inlet (?)...

Going on vacation, what to do to prep the pool?

Not really. Adding water is a pain because we have a well, so we have to do it gradually and it takes a long time. For multiple reasons, family just isn't a good option.

Going on vacation, what to do to prep the pool?

Thanks! I think I'll put in 2 bottles to bring it up to shock value, then put the solar cover on. Can I use floaters with the pool cover on? I'm hoping I'll be able to get enough water in there to run the filter while we're gone, but I'm not sure I will... :?

Going on vacation, what to do to prep the pool?

We're going on vacation tomorrow and will be gone for a week. The pool is finally is nice shape!! I did bring my 3 year old in the pool the other night. There is still some dead algae (and probably dirt?) on the bottom of the pool. I vacuumed to waste the other day and we've been...

    Finally passed the OCUT!

Overnight we lost 1 ppm chlorine and there was no CC. (I'm not sure if the results would've been even better if I tested a bit earlier. I tested around 7:15 am, sun had been up for maybe 2 hours? But not directly on the pool.) I can finally say the water isn't green, but it's definitely very...

    Should I use some clarifier?

    Thanks!

    Should I use some clarifier?

Is there any advantage to adding more chlorine if it's already above shock level other than not having to add it later? I've been using the bags of chlorine "shock" (calcium hypochlorite) and yesterday finally got several big bottles of regular bleach. Since my chlorine level is above shock...

    Should I use some clarifier?

I flunked my OCUT. 17 last night, 14.5 this morning. CC level of 0.5. Guess no swimming today... :-(

    Should I use some clarifier?

My next door neighbor has beautiful water (at least what I can see from my deck), but I don't think he'd love th idea of me dropping a 1 year old and a 3 year old in his water.

    Should I use some clarifier?

Where do I buy that? Obviously not at the pool store. I knew I had seen that abbreviation before but couldn't come up with it. The best I could come up with was something to the effect of Partying in Other Pools!

    Should I use some clarifier?

I haven't done one yet. I'll give it a go tonight. Frogabog, sorry, what does "POP" stand for? I'm sure it's something that'll be completely obvious to me once you say it...

    Should I use some clarifier?

I'm guessing I already know the answer to this question, but I really, really was hoping to use the pool this weekend. We have a few people coming over and the following weekend we leave for vacation so that will mean we don't make it in the pool until August. :? Anyway, I've been fighting...

How does a toddler affect what I need to do?

Good to know. I have most of a package of swim diapers left over from last summer, which we've only used one of (for the kiddie pool I broke down and bought, since the girls haven't been able to swim.) I'll definitely keep that in mind though. I have a few cloth diapers that I used to use as...
