White Limestone Coping - Already Chipping/Flaking

Ditto i have similar issues with my limestone coping as well as travertine deck pavers and my pool a year old. I notice more spalling whenever it rains probably from the rain being acidic. I might try sealer to slow it down. Anyone know if that helps?

Are travertine pavers supposed to look like this?

I’ve had my ivory travertine 6 months and I’m no expert. 2 of those light colored ones look like they belong with the gray colored travertine or maybe came from a different lot or they were out in the sun/weather more and started to get mildew , travertine does have variation. First time backwashing the filter de coming out into pool

Yes, everything seems fine I think I was just dumping it too fast that the skimmer flow couldn’t keep up so it was going down that drain line and out that side drain which is connected to skimmer.( I don’t know if I’m calling everything by their correct name.)

    Uneven spillway on spa

I have a round spa and mine does same thing because of the way the returns circulate the water in my spa (in a clockwise circle). Higher pump speed definitely disguises it. Im not sure what is considered proper positioning for returns in a spa.

Considering a salt system in Austin, Texas

Good to know. I’ve noticed the limestone builders block everyone uses on their houses flakes off during freezes so yes could just be the stone they use around here.

Considering a salt system in Austin, Texas

I saw an airbnb with salt pool in buda a few years back and all of its surrounding stone patio was disintegrating - it was all just flaking off . Owner said it was from the salt system.
