sounds like metal stains more than alge. take a vitamin c tablet and rub in on the green stains. if the stains desolve then its not alge. the vitamin c will remove the metal staining and it shouldn't come back

ph-6.8 fc-3.0 ta-180 ch-350 cya-0 cant seem to get the ta under control. I added muriatic acid to drop the ta. couple days later ta is back to 120-180ppm. now ph is low. after my kids use the pool the water seems to get a little cloudy.
