yes i did. i also used a silicone glue to seat the gasket.

I had this same problem this year. The foam on top of the pool was so thick it looked like a latte in the beginning. I believe it was caused by the algecide added at opening. anyway, the process to clear the pool was to vacuum to waste several times (avoid having debris go back into filter)...

I've installed a new gasket in the pac-vac multivalve. the 1st time i backwashed the pool i noticed garbage coming back into the pool through the return line after about 3 minutes of backwash. otherwise the valve seems to be functioning ok. any ideas?
