    Water Ace?

Hey Poolguy, What little (and I mean very little) that I found was website that contained three reviews on waterace pumps. The guy stated he'd had his pump for several years and that if it was affliated with Pentair, then that was good enough for him. The other two had negative reviews, btw.

    Water Ace?

Thanks Aqua Doc! If I could further bug you? When shopping for a quality pump is there a big difference in say, a Hayward super pump and their pro series (besides their price, of course). My electric bill is usually only $80ish/month, so electrical savings aren't that big a factor.

    Water Ace?

While searching ebay for a new pump I came across the brand Water Ace. Other than being a part of Pentair, I have found almost nothing on them, such as reviews or even dealers who sell them. Impellers, seals, and lids are everywhere, tho. Anyone know anything about them?

    Darn Swimmers!

I'm three days into running my Hayward sand filter (50 bucks, craigslist!). I can already appreciate its benefits over the intex cartridge. If that's what you're running, I'd replace it, FAST! I'm so estatic at how maintenance free, yet clean my pool is already (and no more daily filter...

Ever try a hammer-bit? I have one at work, but maybe your local auto parts store would rent you one? They're pretty good in desperate times such as this. If you haven't seen em', they're a ratcheting type of screwdriver that you hit with a hammer. Every time you hit it, the bit turns, and the...

Hayward 1 1/2 too much for 20' Intex?

It's an Ultra model. Skimmer? It has the factory in-pool bucket that seems ok. Thinking maybe the 1 1/2 would collapse that frail-looking and tiny tube that connects it to the pool wall, though. Another thought, with Intex's "unique" mounts I was leaning towards a Hayward thru-wall skimmer and...

Hayward 1 1/2 too much for 20' Intex?

Newbie here, but I'm hooked on this site and hobby! Started on an Intex 20x4 project a couple weeks ago. Buried half w/ 6 inch drop towards the middle. Framed out my pump house that backs up to the pool w/ a 4x6 glass basketball backboard. Decking is half done. Now for the backbone. I purchased...
